SEQUENCE OF EVENTS ON MONDAY 2ND APRIL 2018

WRITTEN ON FRIDAY 31ST August 2018

So, what did happen on Sunday/Monday 1st/2nd April 2018 ?
It has only just resolved itself in my mind this morning.

What did I actually see & experience on that Monday ?
The subject of the "explosion" & the Secretary were in the corridor & I went to speak to them & give the “note to the committee” to secretary. Immediately after that, in her flat, the subject had her “explosion” !

My supposition :-

What happened in the hour before the “explosion” ?

The subject of the "explosion" & the Committee Secretary had been in the lounge with the committee.
During their conversations, the subject mentioned that on Sunday I had shown her a letter that I was sending to Housing regarding them asking tenants to report people who allowed their dogs to foul the grass & not clean it up.

During their informal chat, the subject told them that I was writing to Housing about the dog dumps. They became incensed & scolded her. They said that she should have used her influence on me & told me not to write directly to Housing.
She was mortified! She was embarrassed ! She was belittled !

She had to release her chagrin !
Later, still smarting from the castigation, she met me in the corridor. At that point I saw that she had a “screwed up face”. But, I had no knowledge of what had happened to her earlier, so I could not pick up the warning signs.

When she saw me ……….. with an envelope in my hand ………. she just saw red & was on the point of exploding there & then ! But, I spoke calmly, and told her that I would explain to her in her flat. Because of her anger, she did not see my intentions. She just felt the overwhelming embarrassment & anger at being seen as a fool in front of her friends.
Immediately, in her flat, her anger & embarrassment overwhelmed her, and were released in a paroxysm of anger .

(From my earlier notes made on the following Friday)
“She would not look at the note, or listen to me.  I gave up. She was screaming, still flailing her arms around, and shouting for me to get out of her flat & that I was never to return. She just kept repeating & repeating this. I realised that she had lost control; ducked down to avoid her flailing arms & left.”

None of this was the subject's fault. She was primed ?unwittingly? by the committee.

If all the above is just the meanderings of the mind of a doddering old geriatric fool, than I sincerely hope that someone will tell me what I did wrong.

WHAT REALLY DID HAPPEN IN THAT HOUR BEFORE THE “EXPLOSION” ?
