I have made my 'Home' page less cluttered and
easier to see what's there. The items for contacting me have been given their
own page.
Have now completed Annie's web site
and handed it over to her. It is a basic site but looks professional. It took
me about 30 hours of work. I'm proud!
As an afterthought, and to show how really
clever I am, I have put up the basic
web site I designed for the opticician!
It was never used.
With the purchase of my Kodak EZ200 digital camera, I have put up some photos of my neighbours and where I used to live. Give it time to load!

Monday, 25 June 2001. You will see that I have
the facility for you to send me private and anonymous messages. Well! Below is
an "anonymous" message from "ol' Clo's" . She can't spell, even when
she is helped and has a spell checker ( she always was a bit thick - but very
cunning). She says that she is lovely, I am a liar and that I need psychiatric
help. Though, she has given me the opportunity to again direct you to her
story. Good on ya "ol' Clo's"!!

Tuesday, 19 June 2001. Another poser for
Seniority. As it is a philosophical poser I have put it on my Ramblings page.
Monday, 18 June 2001. Finally I have got round to putting Lesley's paintings on here! And I have put a decent picture of our Coat of Arms on the home page.
Saturday, 16 June 2001. There is now a page of
how I had my IQ tested in 1966 when I was 33 years old.
Friday, 15 June 2001. I have been helping a
Devonian lady with her web site. It was made using a DTP type prog. Nothing
ventured ...... I had a day learning Serif Page Plus-6. It was terrible. I
don't know how newbies manage to make a page with it! Compared with MS Word97
it was tortuous and devious! Anyway, looking at the lady's site I learnt a bit
about graphic presentation and applied it to my home page. I think
it looks better. What do you say?
Thursday, 14 June 2001. I have added a couple
of bits that I think are interesting on my Seniority page.
Wednesday, 13 June 2001. My GP asked to see me
yesterday. I thought it might be about me not taking my heart medication
(that's 21 months now - still going strong!) But, no it was just to see how my
little op went. He was very understanding about me not taking the medication
but said that he would have agreed and monitored me.
I also gave him my living will.

Saturday, 09 June 2001. Saw the specialist on
Thursday and had the minor op. Great relief! Have to wait now to see if the
prob has gone for good or whether I have to have the op again.
I have put up a page about Seniority.co.uk and the contributions I have made.
Friday, 01 June 2001. Elsewhere,
I talk about my Wonky Willie. I saw a specialist two weeks ago and the news was
excellent. Next Thursday I have a minor op ( just a little prick!!). I'm hoping
that this keeps the prob in control.
Considering the above, how can I get upset by
footballs being kicked into my garden? Yet I have! It can be very irritating! Still
the council are trying to sort it out.

Saturday, 19 May 2001. Just checked how many
files on my site - 298! - 119 htm pages and 179 image and sound files. Bit of
an advance on when I started two years ago!
Thursday, 17 May 2001. I have to tell you
about a little giggle happening on this page http://www.seniority.co.uk/ubb/Forum9/HTML/000011.html . What a life some people have!
My Zip drive went caput - the power unit gave
up. I got one from Maplin. Good service - ordered Saturday - received Tuesday. I
also bought a multi-meter - makes testing easier.
Saturday, 12 May 2001. My ram upgrade failed.
I posted it Wednesday midday and got a replacement Friday 8:00 am. Good service
from Novatech!
Found another good site Rapstok.
Has personal, comedy and business items. Worth a look.

Monday, & Tuesday 23/24 April 2001. I have
to confess to making a big mistake! In analysing the past RBL treasurer's
report for 1998/99, I did not allow for VAT. This was inexcusable. I have
decided to drop all involvement with the RBL accounts and leave it to others. I
have advised the accountants of my error and modified the relevant pages. The accounts do show an increase in profits of over £7000 and a reduction in
honorariums of over £2000, so I may have had some effect! (Angels rush in
..........................!)
The accountants were very understanding over
my faux pas. It was refreshing to deal with a true gentleman. If only the
people at the RBL could behave in a similar manner.
All other RBL pages will remain as written.
Saturday, 21 April 2001. To persuade people to leave an anonymous and private message I have put a modified form on here. I will not know from whom it is and other visitors to the site will not see it. It avoids the email addy being on an email response and keeps it private - the Guest Book allows all to see the message. Hope it helps. The link is on the main index page.

Friday, 20 April 2001. I felt that I had to
advise someone of the RBL accounts problems, so I have advised their current
accountants. (see above)
Today the divorce
decree became absolute.
Wednesday, 18 April 2001. I'm a bugger for
punishment! I have been asked to comment on the Royal British Legion accounts
for 1999/2000. Against my better judgement I agreed.
Friday, 13 April 2001. This site is now two
years old. Never thought it would be like this when
I started.
A day unlucky for some!!
Just put another 128meg of ram in - that's 256
now. Funny, seems to be running slower.
Upgraded from McAfee virus scan 3.1 to 5.1.
May have a prob - getting freeze up and unusual DOS error - Abnormal Parameter
Passed in file .\HDLC.c at line 550 - any ideas? They won't let you email them
unless you pay $25/year. I'll have to find a way round that!
Thursday, 05 April 2001. I found a good search engine. I gave it some obtuse searches and it came up trumps - a
link is on my links page. I found a school in
Newfoundland that has fifteen Aylwards in
seven of its classes! Four in one class!
Thursday, 29 March 2001. Put an
acknowledgement to the host of my site, beeb, on
my main index page. The beeb people a very helpful.
Wednesday, 28 March 2001. Got me .com addy
today. "Next year I'll be a dot com millionaire !" It will be easier

Tuesday, 27 March 2001. Something new! A guest
book for you to sign.

A nice fella - almost my twin by a few years and a day - gave me the
code to prevent right clicks on a page.
I'm having a very fulfilling series of emails
with a lady who practices healing. Later I may summarise them as a "ramblings"

Friday, 23 March 2001. Had a bit of a storm in a teacup this week. I was visited by a door-step salesperson selling a home
optician's service. I have set out a resume of what happened.
Wednesday, 14 March 2001. I had an email from
an interesting fella, Stuart Ashing. He is a hypnotist entertainer.
