MY LETTER TO PC BASICS

May I join your readers in complimenting you on a magazine that helps at all levels. I have been a subscriber from issue two. I keep and file items of interest.

Although I have a quarter of a century experience in programming, I have a very basic approach, and that is, "If there is a simple way to do it, do it!"

My advice for budding web designers is to use MS Word97, (I expect later versions are even better).

My web site is about 11meg and it has been written with MS Word97. It is so very simple. It is as easy as writing a letter. Just "Save as html.." and it is done!

I use graphic files, midi, mp3, wav, wmf, video, games and links

MS Word also has active html links so construction is easy to follow. Some packages do not have this facility.

I have followed past articles on web design and have wondered how many people have been put off by the complexities.

Could you have an article that shows how MS Word can be used for simple web design? I am certain that it would remove the mysteries.

Perhaps your readers would like to visit my site and see the level of design that can be achieved with MS Word.
